Manama: Bahrain will host the 27th session of the Ministers of Youth and Sports Council in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which will be held on June 20. In addition, there will be a series of meetings to enhance GCC joint actions in the field of youth and sports between the GCC countries.

According to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the first meeting will be held on June 15 for the Coordination and Follow up Committee followed by the Consultative Meeting of the Executive Office for their Highnesses and Excellencies, the Heads of National Olympic Committees, on June 16.

The sessions are expected to conclude with a meeting of Ministers of Youth and Sports in the Gulf Cooperation Council on June 20.

Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and leader of the Bahrain delegation will chair a meeting of the heads of National Olympic Committees honoring sports figures and the winning submissions for the “Sport and Environment Award “

Alongside the meetings, there will be a presentation of the final report of the third session of the Women’s Sport Council which was hosted by Bahrain in March.
