Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has launched a new version for their online application — MOI UAE — which can be downloaded from Apple Store and Google Play, with the app offering users 50 different government services.

The services include those for traffic, police, civil defence and several other public-related services. Brigadier General Hussain Ahmad Al Harthy, chairman of the MOI Smart Services and Artificial Intelligence Council, said the new app had been revamped with a new multi-mode design and a more enhanced user experience.

Al Harthy said the MOI was committed to using new and emerging technologies to ensure that its online apps were easy to use and access.

Col Faisal Mohammad Ali Al Shimmari, member and General Secretary of the MOI Smart Services and Artificial Intelligence Council, and Director of the Governance Department, said the launch of the new app comes in line with the vision of the UAE 2071 to be the happiest community in the world. He pointed out that the application represents a significant leap in services, which is provided by the MOI to all citizens, residents and visitors to the country.

Al Shimmari said the application has several unique features including enhanced private security, with the user being able to access the app by their fingerprint or face recognition.

He added that the application will provide users with their data and statistics on their road violations and traffic accidents, vehicle license and ownership, sponsors’ data, as well as their identification papers.

Al Shimmari pointed out that the new application is also linked to the portal of the Government of the UAE ‘Smart Pass’, which enables its users to benefit from the services provided by the portal without the need to make a new entry to the portal.

He also said that the app allows users to access the services and various social networking platforms of the MOI, which will include its latest news and updates.
