Dubai: Motorists in Dubai have the option to conveniently recharge their Salik accounts using services offered by a wide range of banks in the UAE. These services are accessible through online and mobile banking platforms, ATMs, cash deposit machines (CDMs), and in some cases, via SMS.

Several banks also provide an auto top-up facility, which automatically adds credit to your Salik account once the balance drops below a set threshold. This helps ensure uninterrupted travel through toll gates and avoids potential fines for insufficient balance.

Recharging your Salik account through banking channels typically does not incur additional service charges. This makes it a cost-effective alternative to other methods, such as SMS recharge, which may involve a small fee, for example, 30 fils per transaction.

Managing Salik top-ups via your bank can also help with budgeting. Transactions appear alongside your other banking activity, offering better visibility and control over your toll-related expenses. It is a secure and seamless process that integrates easily into your everyday financial routine.

Banks offering Salik recharge services

Salik top-ups are available through the following banks. Note that recharge methods and platforms may vary, so it is advisable to confirm the available channels directly with your bank:

  • Emirates NBD

  • Dubai Islamic Bank

  • Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank

  • Commercial Bank of Dubai

  • Citibank

  • First Abu Dhabi Bank

  • Mashreq Bank

  • RAKBANK

  • Sharjah Islamic Bank

  • Standard Chartered Bank

  • Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank

  • Al Hilal Bank

  • Ajman Bank

  • United Arab Bank

  • National Bank of Umm Al-Qaiwain

To recharge through your bank, you may be asked to enter either your account number and PIN, or your mobile number along with your vehicle plate details. The process and requirements can differ slightly between banks.

The minimum amount you can recharge in a single transaction is Dh50, while the maximum is Dh50,000.

Using your bank to manage Salik recharges not only simplifies the process but also offers added benefits in terms of cost, convenience, and control.
