Dubai: With government departments and offices across the UAE reducing working hours during Ramadan, it is important to plan out any official work you may have scheduled. Here are all the timings for government and private offices, public transport and COVID-19 vaccine and testing centres across the UAE.

Government sector working hours

According to an announcement by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), the official working hours for the public sector will be from 9am to 2pm, except for those whose work nature requires otherwise. 

Private sector working hours

Employees in the private sector working in the mainland will have their work hours reduced by two hours, based on the UAE Labour Law. So, based on the nature of your work and your office timings, you will be working for two hours less. 

Metro, bus, tram, parking timings

Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the following timings for its services:

Car parking

Paid parking zone timing will be from ...

Saturday to Thursday

8am to 6pm

8pm to 12 midnight

The fare at Tecom (parking coded F) will be subject to fees from 8am to 6pm.

At the multi-level parking terminals, paid parking is applicable round the clock.

RTA customer happiness centres

Umm Ramool, Al Tawar, Al Manara, Deira, Al Barsha and Al Kafaf Centres

Saturday to Thursday

9am to 5pm

Vehicle testing centres

Tasjeel (Al-Awir, Al-Twar and Warsan)

Hatta Centre 9am to 2pm

Jebel Ali Discovery Garden and City of Arabia Centres - 8am to 5pm

School timings

Schools in Dubai will be operating for five hours during the day, while Sharjah schools have been allowed to operate anywhere between three to five hours, while making sure they do not start before 9am.
