Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra gave a flying kiss as she walked the ramp for designer Michelle Bohbot’s Bisou Bisou brand on Tuesday, the fifth day of the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) in Mumbai.

The actress revealed that she was asked to do so by the designer as this is a tradition which she follows.

“This is a standard for all of Michelle’s shows. She had told me that it is their signature statement to blow a flying kiss to the audience,” Chopra told the media after the show.

The actress looked smart in a one shoulder black top, which was well fitted from the waist, and black pants. She had tied her hair up and wore contemporary earrings to match her outfit.

“I am very excited to be here. Bisou Bisou is my favourite brand. I am so excited that Bisou Bisou has associated with my film, Zanjeer. My character is very fashionable” she said.

The line included a wide range of trendy clothes for women including skirts, shorts, halter neck tops, summer dresses, jumpsuits, gowns, pants, jackets among others. The colours used for the collection were fresh like blue, pink and black.

Meanwhile the wedding of actress Kalki Koechlin and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap was the inspiration for designer Anushree Reddy’s collection. Reddy revealed that Kalki’s wedding inspired her collection for the carefree bride.

“It’s really beautiful and I was really touched because she said she was inspired by my own wedding, when she saw such a easy-going bride,” the actress said here. Koechlin looked beautiful in a lemon yellow and light green lehenga and a golden choli.

“It has that feel-good wear, it’s really bright and colourful and still very easy to wear, fun. So I really enjoyed the whole collection,” she said.

Actress Prachi Desai, walked the ramp for Sonam and Paras Modi. Dressed in a cream lehenga with a sea green and blue border, and teamed with a choli embedded with beads in brown and green, Prachi looked beautiful as she took to the runway for the designer duo.

“Sonam and Paras are more of friends to me. But today I walked not just because they asked me to, but I really love their collection. It was just recently when I wore one of their outfits for a party and compliments are still pouring in. I totally love their collection and outfits,” the 24-year-old said.

Ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee showcased an absolutely royal collection full of velvet and satin for his comeback show. The collection was inspired by the royal era of queens, and was indeed classy.

The apparels were heavily embroidered with gold and copper threads, giving them a regal touch. The designer showcased unique saris with distinct designs on the pleats and pallu.

Celebrities including actors Shraddha Kapoor and Milind Soman, as well as designer Rohit Bal attended the show, which turned out to be a fitting end to the LFW.
