Model-turned-actor Arjun Rampal and actresses Gauhar Khan and Ileana D’cruz will model at Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) winter/festive 2015, which started on Wednesday night.
Rampal and D’cruz will walk for online fashion portal Jabong, which has announced the launch of European footwear brand Bugatti and in-house designer label Sangria. Khan will walk the runway for Delhi-based fashion designer Rinku Sobti on Indian Textile Day on Thursday.
Rampal will launch Bugatti on the LFW runway on Saturday while D’cruz will walk for Sangria on Sunday.
Shoe lover Rampal said he was “thrilled” to walk for Bugatti. “Walking the ramp is a fun and exciting experience — after all, I started my journey with this, so getting back to my roots is always humbling. I have seen the Bugatti collection and it’s amazing how it can be worn across all age groups and people from all walks of life. I personally pay a lot of attention to my shoes. They have to be stylish and yet comfortable — as it just adds onto the confidence and makes you look presentable,” he said.
“It has been hectic, exciting and laborious so far. The hard work that has been put in to create this collection has totally been worth it. I have seen the metamorphosis of the threads turning into fabric and the ultimate outfit. It is my first time at Lakme which makes me even more ecstatic,” Sobti said. The designer drew inspiration from Indian handloom culture.
The five-day event started on Wednesday and concludes on Sunday.
