London Fashion Week menswear collection

It’s here! The Spring/Summer 2023 menswear season was revealed at the London Fashion week recently. The vibe has generally been more vibrant than before and it’s a celebration of colours at this London Fashion Week.

Dominating the scene was the street style looks, which was showcased in several stunning designs, some of them unexpected. Overall, there was no dearth of energy at the shows.

The silhouettes generally leaned towards casual, and included lightweight suits paired with over-sized tailoring. These were paired with basic t-shirts or tops inside for contrast. However, there were sparks of colour to liven up the proceedings.

Loafers, meanwhile, continued to be the footwear of choice for the fashionistas, perhaps in a nod to tradition and the legacy of Saville Row.

In stark contrast, there were every day looks that were inspired by the skate culture in the city. The designs focussed mainly on comfort and ease and yet looked every bit the part.

There were unexpected pairings of casual jackets with baggy pants, as well. However, the essence seemed to be of looks that were not too fussy -- that seemed to be the order of the day.

London Fashion Week is held twice a year in London and showcases the creations of over 250 designers. The event has a substantial global reach and is among the most influential among buyers, media and the general public.
