Jafza, GDRFA sign cooperation deal

Dubai: Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) has signed a cooperation agreement with the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs to further simplify existing visa procedures.

Under the deal, the directorate will provide enhanced services to companies operating in Jafza and the National Industries Park, both of which are DP World subsidiaries.

This will be through an electronic link that is expected to benefit over 150,000 people working in over 7,500 companies based in Jafza.

The electronic link is expected to cut visa-processing time and related transactions to 24 hours or less.
