Dubai: Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE, took to Instagram Stories to share glimpses of his visit to the Indian city of Mumbai, as part of his two-day visit.

In his Instagram stories, he shared a video of the vintage interiors of Pali Bhavan, a renowned restaurant located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Bandra West, Mumbai, Maharastra.

Known for its exquisite decor featuring traditional Indian elements, Pali Bhavan has generated significant buzz and is regarded as 'the pinnacle of Indian fine dining’, based on online reviews. It perfectly exemplifies royalty with a taste for spice, according to numerous Google reviews.

The restaurant is adorned with vintage photographs of Rajasthani maharajahs, framed in ornate wooden borders that reflect the region's rich history.

Just a few hours after being visited by Hamdan, the Pali Bhavan restaurant took to Instagram to thank the Dubai prince, sharing the same video posted on Hamdan's Instagram stories along with a caption. : "Since the pandemic, I’ve been spending more time in Dubai - it’s become home for us in many ways.

Sheikh Hamdan has always been a legend, not just in the UAE but around the world. When we first moved here, we happened to live close to his farm, and I’d often catch myself wondering - if we ever opened a Pali in Dubai, would he visit?

Not quite how I imagined it.. because he did visit Pali - just not in Dubai. He walked into Pali Bhavan, in Bandra, Mumbai.

Never in my wildest dreams.

I’m not someone who’s easily starstruck, but I can honestly say, there’s hardly anyone whose visit would’ve meant more.

Thank you, Fazza."

According to Instagram posts shared by food bloggers on social media platforms, the walls exude warmth and nostalgia, while elegant wooden shutters, intricately carved with traditional motifs, open to reveal scenic views of the surroundings.

Delicate crystal chandeliers hang gracefully from the ceiling, casting a soft glow throughout the space.

The establishment is run by restaurateur and entrepreneur Mishali Sanghani, who also owns Pali Cafe and Pali Bhavan in Bandra. Both of these venues are well regarded for their charming interiors and authentic Indian cuisine.

Based on Google reviews, several dishes have garnered popularity at the restaurant, such as butter chicken, paan kulfi, Baileys and chocolate, gunpowder calamari, tandoori broccoli, and avocado bhel.
