Manorama on death rumours: ‘I’m hearty’

Rubbishing rumours of her death, veteran Tamil actress Manorama, who was unwell a few months ago, said she’s absolutely fine now and has agreed to act in three new films.

On Monday, social media was abuzz with news of her death.

“I’m hale and hearty. Please don’t believe in any rumours about my death. I’ve recovered well and have also signed three new films. I’ll soon start shooting for them,” Manorama said.

The 75-year old, fondly called Aachi by her fans, has starred in more than 750 Tamil films, spanning five decades. She is one of the finest female comedians of the southern film industry.

She was last seen in Tamil action film Singam 2, starring Suriya.
