Anirudh Ravichander is a youth sensation, says Vignesh Shivan

Director Vignesh Shivan, who recently directed composer Anirudh Ravichander in Tamil music video Chance-Ey-Illa, says his popularity among the younger audiences has made him a “youth sensation”.

“Anirudh is phenomenal. His popularity among the youth is to be seen and heard to be believed. The evidence of his growing popularity was evident when the crowd went into raptures when he performed a few dance steps. He’s a youth sensation,” Shivan said in a statement.

“These are also indications that the saga of musical albums has come to stay in the Tamil music industry,” he added.

Shivan, who had composed the lyrics for the single, said: “My idea is to make a musical film next.”

Shivan’s next Tamil project is Naanum Rowdy Dhaana and it will feature music by Ravichander.
