My Youth stars Song Joong-ki and Chun Woo-hee in the lead roles
The K-Drama world needs some romance and mush, and clearly Song Joong-ki is here to deliver. (We would hope, let this not be another Twenty Five Twenty One ache). Considering it has been a while since we have seen Joong-ki with such yearning, fans are already prepared for heartbreak.
The star is returning to the romance game with My Youth, and a new set of posters were released.
My Youth promises to be an emotional romance drama that follows Sunwoo Hae (Song Joong Ki), a former child star who finds himself starting life’s journey later than most, and Sung Je Yeon (Chun Woo Hee), a determined woman willing to shake up her first love’s world to achieve her own dreams.
The newly unveiled poster captures sweet moment between Sunwoo Hae and Sung Je Yeo. While fans are waiting eagerly for the show, some are already anticipating heartbreak. "K-Dramas have given me so many scars lately, I'm almost scared," reads one comment.
Sunwoo Hae’s twenties were marked by struggle and survival, having rushed through his prime years chasing fleeting fame. But when fate reunites him with his first love, his world begins to shift. Meanwhile, Sung Je Yeon finds herself rekindling buried feelings.
The production team shared, “‘My Youth’ is a story about people who bloom after everything has passed. Please look forward to the slightly different romance Song Joong Ki, Chun Woo Hee, Lee Joo Myung, and Seo Ji Hoon will deliver.”
The drama will stream from September 5, and will be available on Viki.
