The shows with Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon were set to take place on May 4 and May 5
Dubai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has announced the postponement of his highly anticipated UK tour, The Bollywood Big One, out of respect for the victims of the recent tragic events in Kashmir.
The shows, which were set to take place on May 4 in Manchester and May 5 in London, will be rescheduled to later dates.
In an official statement, the organisers expressed their profound sadness over the situation and explained the decision to postpone:
"Given the heartbreaking events unfolding in Kashmir, we feel it is only appropriate to pause at this time. With deep sorrow, Salman Khan and the entire team have decided to postpone The Bollywood Big One shows. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this tragedy."
Fans had eagerly been awaiting the shows, which promised a spectacular lineup of Bollywood’s biggest stars alongside Khan. However, the organisers emphasised that standing in solidarity with those grieving was more important than proceeding with celebrations.
"We fully understand the disappointment this may cause among fans who were looking forward to these performances," the statement continued. "However, during this time of mourning, we believe it is the right and respectful decision. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and are deeply grateful for the understanding and support from fans around the world."
New dates for The Bollywood Big One tour are expected to be announced soon.
Ticket holders are advised to retain their tickets, as they will remain valid for the rescheduled shows.
Further updates will be shared through official channels in the coming days.
