Actor Salman Khan, who has a huge fan following across the globe, says he

“had no intentions to be a star”.

Asked if he was the Rajinikanth of Bollywood, the actor said: “I love Rajinikanth. But the kind of person he is ... if I reach anywhere close to him, I will be really happy.” Khan was speaking at the launch of the trailer of his upcoming movie Jai Ho.

“I was born in a family which was a part of this industry [Bollywood]. By luck, I got this platform, thanks to Sooraj Barjatya who gave me a break, and luckily the film also worked. I have no contribution in it,” said Khan.

“I like travelling by rickshaw and cycle. I am enjoying my success but when I won’t have it, even then I will enjoy,” he said.

Playing on the Aamir Khan-starrer Dhoom 3, Khan said, “Jai Ho bhi dhoom machayegi.” He was sporting the same hat that Aamir wears during promotion of Dhoom 3.
