‘Qarib Qarib Single’ nets 17.5m on opening day

Romantic comedy Qarib Qarib Single raked in Rs17.5 million (Dh982,911) on opening day, its makers have said.

Directed by Tanuja Chandra, the film, which deals with online dating, is witnessing the benefits of word-of-mouth publicity.

The movie stars Indian National Award-winning actor Irrfan Khan and Malayalam actress Parvathy, who makes her Bollywood debut with the project. The film is shot across real locations of Bikaner, Rishikesh and Gangtok.
