The 22-year-old became a hit after his single ‘Beautiful Things’ went viral in 2024
Dubai: Benson Boone’s debut at this year’s Coachella is one that will go down in history.
The Beautiful Things singer made his debut at Coachella over the weekend and brought the big guns as he performed Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. But it wasn’t just his rendition of the song that had fans screaming, it was the guest he brought along for this performance.
The 22-year-old was joined by Queen’s Sir Brian May at the end of his set, as they performed the hit song together, with attendees singing it along with them. Boone began the performance and May emerged on stage, behind the singer, for the famed guitar solo.
However, May did hint at the surprise feature a few hours before the performance.
May posted a picture of Boone and him on an airplane a few hours prior to the performance captioning it, “Look who I bumped into – on the way to the fabled Palm Springs… Maybe something will happen?!”
He then later posted a selfie with the Beautiful Things singer saying, “Do we look happy?!!! Gonna treasure this moment on the plane with @bensonboone – a truly golden 22 year old prodigy. I’m proud and happy to say we are now officially pals.”
But that wasn’t the only surprise Boone had in store for his fans. The Grammy-nominated singer also announced his sophomore album, “American Heart” and debuted the title track as well.
“I’ve got one more announcement to make. This is less like one song and more like 10. My second album will be coming out June 20, 2025 and it is called ‘American Heart’,” he said on stage.
Boone will be performing for the second weekend of Coachella as well.
