Talent from Kerala shared her disturbing on-set experience with a lead actor using drugs
Malayalam actress Vincy Aloshious has made it clear she will not act alongside colleagues who use drugs after a troubling experience from a previous film shoot.
According to a report in Mathrubhumi, Aloshious made the statement during an event in Kochi. She said, “If I am aware that someone is using drugs, I will not act in any film with them.”
In a follow-up video shared on her Instagram, the actress described working with a lead actor who allegedly exhibited erratic behaviour and was suspected of drug use. She claimed a white substance spilled from his mouth during a rehearsal and that he made inappropriate remarks about her costume in front of others.
Aloshious acknowledged that this stance might cost her roles, but insisted that personal dignity and a safe work environment come first.
“Maybe because of this decision, I might not get many opportunities in films going forward. But I want to say it openly,” she added.
Her comments have sparked renewed conversations about substance abuse and professionalism in the Malayalam film industry.
