Madhur Bhandarkar keen to make Marathi cinema

National Award-winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar says he is willing to direct or produce a Marathi film if he gets a good subject.

“Being a Maharashtrian and a Mumbaikar, I would definitely like to make a Marathi film provided I get a good subject,” Bhandarkar told reporters in Mumbai on Wednesday at a special screening of the Marathi film, Yellow.

“If I am busy directing a Hindi film, then I will definitely like to produce a Marathi film,” added the filmmaker who made films including Fashion and Heroine.

Bhandarkar is currently busy with his next Hindi project Madamji, starring Priyanka Chopra in the lead.
