Following mixed response from audiences and critics, the makers of Suriya-starrer Tamil action-thriller “Maattrraan” have cut it short to impress a larger segment of moviegoers.
“The film is cut by about three minutes in the first half, while the second half has been reduced by about 22 minutes,” a source in the industry said.
“Mattrraan”, directed by KV Anand, released October 12 worldwide in about 1,400 screens. The film was originally two hours and 35 minutes long.
Kajal Agarwal, Sachin Khedekar and Tara were also part of the film, which is a story about two conjoined twins played by Suriya. It releases in the UAE on Thursday.
