Blackpink's Deadline Tour sparks disbandment rumors among fans
Blackpink in the area! The girls have officially announced their long-awaited Deadline World Tour, kicking off July 5, 2025, at Goyang Stadium in South Korea and wrapping up with a massive finale at Tokyo Dome on January 18, 2026.
According to their social media handles, the 16-city trek spans major stadiums across North America, Europe, and Asia, marking Blackpink’s first-ever all-stadium tour, a true testament to their colossal global pull. Fans can expect performances in l venues like SoFi Stadium (Los Angeles), Wembley Stadium (London), Stade de France (Paris), Soldier Field (Chicago), Citi Field (New York), and more.
However, the title raised eyebrows, too. While many fans celebrated the announcement, others speculated whether this Deadline hints at something deeper. “Calling it the Deadline tour because they’re about to hit their disbandment deadline,” one fan posted, voicing a worried sentiment that many Blinks feel.
The tour announcement follows a banner year for the group’s solo pursuits:
Jennie had released her 2025 debut studio album Ruby, blending genres and star-studded collaborations.
Jisoo mesmerised fans with her emotional mini-album AMORTAGE
Rosé became fashion symbol of Saint Laurent and Tiffany, extending her influence beyond music.
Lisa took over screens and runways alike, starring in The White Lotus and turning heads as a global ambassador for Louis Vuitton and Bvlgari.
As the countdown to the tour begins, fans have been asking questions: Will there be new music? No album has been confirmed yet. Have they even had time to rehearse? “Lisa deserved to have her own solo tour,” one fan wrote. Another added, “What if the Blackpink is mostly solo performances,” another asked. Others worried even more after Lisa’s post, where she referred to her fans as ‘lillies’ instead of Blinks. “Okay, Blackpink is done, they’re history.”
Many think it might be a good idea, as the girls deserve to shine separately, as their previous concerts were considered ‘lazy’.
