Andrew Garfield, Natalia Dyer, and Pom Klementieff were all in the UAE for the big reveal
Abu Dhabi just raised the bar for art launches.
Hollywood A-listers and regional stars descended on the UAE capital for the glitzy grand opening of TeamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, and the night sky lit up with the GCC’s largest-ever drone show—a whopping display featuring 6,300 synchronised drones dancing to a score by Italian maestro Ludovico Einaudi.
The black carpet was pure glam. Cate Blanchett brought elegance, Andrew Garfield served charm, and Stranger Things’ Natalia Dyer looked every bit the indie darling. Swizz Beatz added swagger, Pom Klementieff channeled Marvel power, and Flying Lotus brought the cool, experimental edge. Also spotted? Oscar-winner Brendan Fraser, enjoying the cultural high.
Set in the heart of the Saadiyat Cultural District, the immersive, multi-sensory experience opened to the public on April 18, but Thursday night was all about art, celebs, and serious spectacle. With the sky transformed into a canvas of light, colour and pyrotechnics, teamLab Phenomena's architectural marvel made a splashy debut that no one will forget anytime soon.
So yes, Abu Dhabi just went full Hollywood—with a futuristic twist.
