Actor Jimmy Shergill, who will next be seen in upcoming film Shorgul, says that the Jitendra Tiwari and Prashant V. Singh directorial should create conversation among young people.

A 24FPS Films Production, Shorgul is a political drama in which an innocent friendship between a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl takes a communal twist when the boy is killed.

“In Shorgul, I essay the role of a prominent politician who’s got a sinister streak to himself. The role is very experimental as it’s something very contrasting from what I’ve executed in the past. It’s a story that I strongly think should reach the masses and create a conversation amongst the youth,” Shergill said in a statement.
