Chandigarh-based Prince Narula was on Saturday announced the winner of stunt reality show MTV Roadies X2, after testing the physical and mental strength of 21 contestants at various locations in India and Nepal.
The popular youth reality show, which started its journey with auditions in December last year, witnessed various changes starting from the new concept to gang leaders and groups.
For the first time, it was shot without Raghu Ram and Rajiv Lakshman, who were judges and mentors in the past editions.
Extensively shot in cities Varanasi, Kathmandu and Pokhara, the 12th season of MTV Roadies was judged by Rannvijay Singh, Karan Kundra, Esha Doel and boxer Vijender Singh.
Narula, who won a Karizma ZMR bike and a contract with MTV channel, was a member of Rannvijay’s gang.
He competed in the finale against Gurmeet from Vijender’s team. Though both of them originally were part of Rannvijay’s gang, Vijender won a gang challenge after which he took Gurmeet to his side.
To show his respect to the runners-up’s dedication and hard work, Narula later gave his bike to Gurmeet.
The finale was filled with interesting twists and turns where all the contestants were seen together along with the four gang leaders cheering up for the two finalists on their ultimate task.
After winning the title, Narula said: “It is a once in a lifetime experience. I lived a part of my life which is unforgettable. Not only did I win the title but also millions of hearts.”
Rannvijay said Narula deserved to win the show as he was always on top of the game.
“Prince has been on top of his game since the beginning of the show. He really deserved that No.1 position. I am extremely thrilled about his win and I am very happy with Gurmeet’s performance also. I remember selecting them together and saying that ‘I’ll take you guys till the end’,” Raanvijay said.
“This season of MTV Roadies X2 has been very different and full of emotions, surprises compared to its previous editions and also a learning of being a motivating gang leader and mentor to the contestants,” he added.
MTV Roadies X2 will be replaced by the eighth season of MTV Splitsvilla, which starts on July 4.
