Hema Malini out of hospital
Bollywood actress and politician was involved in a fatal car crash, which killed a two-year-old girl on Thursday
Film actress and BJP MP Hema Malini was on Saturday discharged from a hospital where she was undergoing treatment after a car crash in which a two-year-old girl was killed, hospital officials said.
She was admitted on Thursday evening after she sustained injuries when her Mercedes Benz rammed into another car coming from the opposite direction, leaving a two-year-old child in that vehicle dead and four others injured.
“She was discharged from the hospital at around 9.30am,” said Prateem Tamboli, facility director of Fortis Escorts Hospital.
She suffered a nasal fracture and cuts to her forehead near the right eyebrow. Surgery was carried out early on Friday.
Bollywood actors wished her a “speedy recovery” following the accident. .
“Praying for @dreamgirlhema ji’s speedy recovery,” Anupam Kher posted on Twitter.
Shabana Azmi, who has worked with her in Suraag, tweeted: “Wish Hema Maliniji a speedy recovery from the trauma of the accident and condolences to parents of child who succumbed to the injuries.”
Rishi Kapoor also tweeted: “@dreamgirlhema Concerned about your well being. Regards Neetu Rishi Ranbir.”
