Harpal Singh Sokhi on Saturday became the third contestant to be eliminated from dance reality show Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa season nine. The chef says he is leaving the show with a new-found love for dance.
Sokhi was seen alongside his choreographer Bhavna Purohit on the Colors show. Before him, actor Gaurav Gera and siblings Priyanka Shah and Poonam Shah were eliminated.
“It was great fun being a part of the show. I go back with a bag full of new acquaintances and a new-found love for dance. It is not only a form of entertainment, but also a great stress buster,” Sokhi said.
“And above all, it helps you burn off those calories. So my advice to everyone is, go ahead and dance your heart out, so that you get to gorge on delicious food without any hesitation,” he added.
The show features filmmaker Karan Johar, actress Jacqueline Fernandez and choreographer Ganesh Hegde as judges.
Sokhi has a lot of things lined up after Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa.
“I have three restaurants lined up for opening. My cookware brand Happy Chef has just launched and we are planning a lot of events around it. I would love to do even a food show with Colors,” he said.
After Sokhi’s eviction, the contestants left on the show include actors Sidhant Gupta, Arjun Bijlani, Helly Shah, Karishma Tanna, Nora Fatehi, Surveen Chawla and Shakti Arora, and ace choreographer Salman Yousuf Khan.
“All of them are exceptional. But if I have to choose, I probably see Surveen winning the contest,” he said.
