Gauri, Shah Rukh attend her father’s funeral

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan on Wednesday attended the last rites of his wife Gauri Khan’s father Ramesh Chandra Chibber in New Delhi.

Chibber, a retired Colonel from the Indian Army, died on Tuesday night. Khan and Gauri flew from Mumbai to the Indian capital upon hearing the news, a source said.

The couple attended the cremation — standing by Gauri’s mother’s side — at the Lodhi Road crematorium. Also accompanying them was their close friend and filmmaker Karan Johar.

“Death is the only reminder of life,” Johar tweeted on Wednesday.

Khan is said to have put the shooting of a new project on hold to be with his family.
