Actress Kareena Kapoor-Khan believes that Indian women are beautiful in their own right.

The face of Craftsvilla Miss Ethnic, Kapoor-Khan will crown the finalists of the contest, to be held on September 11 in Mumbai. Women across India, regardless of their age and marital status, can participate in the contest.

“Every Indian woman is unique and beautiful in her own right. Through Craftsvilla Miss Ethnic, we are looking for those who believe in themselves,” Kapoor-Khan said in a statement.

She also strongly believes that every Indian should put in efforts to preserve the country’s heritage.

“India is home to diverse and vibrant ethnicities and it is imperative for each one of us to preserve this,” she said.

Kapoor-Khan, a big fan of everything ethnic, also loves Indian arts and crafts, especially paintings.

Her favourite painting is one from Manu Parekh’s Banaras series.

“What I like about the painting is that it has so many vibrant colours, which symbolises our country. The blending of all the colours in one frame stands testimony to India’s unity in diversity and I am proud to have that painting with me,” she said.
