Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will also be present.

“Yes, A.R. Rahman is supposed to be in town and meet Pele. He will be here on 12th night,” said Satadru Dutta, chief strategist of Multicon Group, who are one of the organisers.

“He has shown keen interest in meeting Pele. He might discuss about the biopic. He is supposed to sing a happy birthday song for him too ahead of his birthday on October 23,” Dutta said.

Pele, three-time FIFA World Cup winner, is scheduled to arrive in Kolkata on October 11 and will be in the city for only three days. On the final day of his city tour, Pele will be the guest of honour at Indian Super League (ISL) defending champions Atletico de Kolkata’s first home game against the Kerala Blasters.
