Akshay Kumar to star in Reema Kagti’s ‘Gold’
Film is about India’s first Olympic medal as a free country in 1948 in London

Actor Akshay Kumar has partnered with Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s production banner, Excel Entertainment, to star in director Reema Kagti’s upcoming film Gold.
This will be the first time Kumar will be associating with Excel Entertainment and Kagti, read a statement.
Gold tells the story about India’s first Olympic medal win as a free nation in the year 1948 at the 14th Olympics in London.
Kumar tweeted on Friday: “Set in 1948, the historic story of India’s first Olympic medal as a free nation, Gold coming to you on August 15, 2018”.
