Indian version of global search engine dedicates a doodle to the late artist on his 85th birth anniversary

A smiling image of Indian playback singer Kishore Kumar welcomed users to the homepage of Google India as a homage to the legend on his 85th birth anniversary on Monday.
The doodle pays tribute to the multi-faceted talent, who was a successful singer, writer, producer and actor.
His son Amit Kumar, who is also a singer, is happy with Google’s gesture. “Fabulous...What a great gesture from Google, surely this proves that ‘He is a man for all seasons’,” Amit said via sms.
Kumar, fondly known as Kishore-da, gave the Indian film industry songs such as Chalte chalte mere ye geet yaad rakhna, O hansini, Aa chal ke tujhe, Pal pal dil ke paas, Hawa ke saath saath, Chukar mere mann ko and Jahaan teri ye nazar hai.
As an actor, he was seen in films such as Padosan, Half Ticket and Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi.
He died on October 13, 1987 in Mumbai.
