Dubai: Colombo is about to get a dose of Bollywood royalty. Superstar Hrithik Roshan will be the special guest at the much-anticipated launch of City of Dreams Sri Lanka, South Asia’s first integrated resort, on August 2, 2025.

Roshan—known for his dynamic screen presence, polished performances, and unmatched dance skills—is stepping into the spotlight for this major event. Shah Rukh Khan was originally slotted to inaugurate the plush resort.

But it’s a symbolic passing of the torch, and all eyes will be on the Bollywood star as he adds his signature charisma to the proceedings.

The event also marks the official launch of the “Let’s Go, Let Go” campaign, an invitation to embrace a new era of leisure and luxury in the heart of Colombo.

Andre Timmins, Co-Founder and Director of Wizcraft, said: “Hrithik’s presence makes this celebration all the more memorable, capturing the spirit of joy and grandeur that defines this historic occasion.”

Gulf News will be on the ground in Colombo to bring readers exclusive coverage of the star-studded opening.

Stay tuned. Something spectacular is unfolding in Sri Lanka—and Hrithik Roshan is leading the charge.
