Saif Ali Khan and crew abandon shoot after helicopter permission refused
The shooting of a commercial featuring Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was halted in this Rajasthan capital on Saturday when a helicopter which was to be used was seized by the police, officials said.
A police officer said that they had denied permission for use of the chopper during the shoot, which was to take place at a five-star hotel in the city.
“Ajay Sharma, who provides logistics for the movie and commercial advertisements’ shooting, had sought permission for the chopper’s use. However, the helipad which was to be used for the chopper’s landing had been declared unfit. Police denied the permission,” said Assistant Commissioner of Police Amber Surendra Sagar.
The officer said that despite the denial of permission, the chopper landed at the hotel at around 10am on Saturday.
“We arrested Ajay Sharma for disobeying the order and putting people’s lives at risk. Further investigation is underway,” said the officer.
Sources said that the shooting was halted throughout the day even as actor Saif Ali Khan waited for it to resume at the hotel.
