Celta and Getafe share spoils

Vigo: Celta and visiting Getafe played a 1-1 draw in the clash between two mid-table La Liga sides.

The final score flattered the hosts, as Getafe side dominated for most of the match in front of more than 14,000 at Vigo’s Balaidos stadium on Monday night, where Celta supporters voiced their growing unhappiness with coach Antonio Mohamed.

Maxi Gomez gave the home side a 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute.

Substitute Jaime Mata equalised in the 77th minute from close range.

Celta climbed to eighth place with 11 points from seven matches. Getafe, with nine points, hold 10th spot. (IANS)
