Dubai: Dubai-based conglomerate Majid Al Futtaim has signed an agreement with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide to open an Aloft hotel directly connected to City Centre Deira in Dubai, according to a statement on Sunday.
Scheduled to open in 2018, Aloft Dubai City Centre Deira will feature 304 guest rooms, including 29 suites, as well as an outdoor rooftop VOX Cinema and a cinematic themed floor of rooms and suites. It will also include SPG Keyless, Starwood’s keyless entry system that enables guests to use their smartphone or Apple watch as a room key.
The construction contract at Aloft Dubai City Centre Deira has been awarded to Laing O’Rourke and work commenced at the start of June 2016. The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2018.
