Sharjah: In line with its strategy to promote Sharjah as a leading business and investment hub in the region, the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) will be hosting a Sharjah-India Roundtable at the Dubai World Trade Centre next Wednesday.

The Roundtable will be attended by Shaikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), and a number of prominent businessmen, investors, and stakeholders in the Indian business community.

Marwan Bin Jasem Al Sarkal, CEO of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), commented: “Sharjah’s strategic location and diversified economy makes it an excellent base of operations for investors and companies wishing to establish themselves in the region. Through organising events such as this roundtable, Shurooq aims to make business communities from around the world aware of the many options and advantages that Sharjah has to offer and to encourage increased collaboration to the benefit of all parties. During this roundtable, we will be exploring new business opportunities as well as ways in which to further strengthen and expand the already well-established business relationship between Sharjah and India and we look forward to the start of many new mutually beneficial ventures.”

Aimed at promoting Sharjah’s diverse investment potential, the Roundtable will feature presentations by stakeholders in four of Sharjah’s key sectors — travel and tourism, environment, healthcare, and transport and logistics. The first of these will be on travel and tourism, presented by Shurooq, to be followed by a logistics presentation by Hamriyah Free Zone.
