Qatar Airways resumes Iraq, Syria flights, boosts Lebanon, Jordan routes in July
Flights return across Iraq and Syria as Beirut and Amman routes expand to full capacity
Doha: Qatar Airways is restoring its full flight schedule to Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan, with services restarting from June 30, 2025, the airline confirmed in a statement.
The decision follows the lifting of regional air corridors that had previously been suspended due to security concerns, while strengthening Qatar Airways' network connectivity as it heads into the summer travel season.
Iraq
Qatar Airways will resume flights to five destinations across Iraq with varying weekly frequencies:
Baghdad: 16 weekly flights (13 from 30 June, 3 more from 8 July)
Erbil: 10 weekly flights (7 from 1 July, 3 more from 9 July)
Sulaymaniyah: 7 weekly flights starting 2 July
Najaf: 5 weekly flights from 2 July
Basra: 7 weekly flights from 3 July
These flights include both daytime and early-morning departures from Doha’s Hamad International Airport, with direct returns scheduled to match.
Syria
Flights to Damascus will resume from 6 July with a daily service. A second daily flight will be added from 15 July, taking total weekly operations to 14.
Lebanon, Jordan
Starting 1 July, Qatar Airways will expand its services to:
Beirut: Increasing from 14 to 21 weekly flights, with three daily departures.
Amman: Also rising from 14 to 21 weekly flights, ensuring greater availability for passengers to Jordan.
