Dubai: With Eid Al Adha just around the corner, many families in Dubai are looking for ways to celebrate and spend quality time together. However, the cost of hotel staycation deals and the soaring travel prices can often strain the budget.

Thankfully, Dubai offers many activities that won't break the bank.

For residents seeking memorable Eid celebrations without exceeding a Dh50 spend, here are ten fantastic things you can enjoy together:

Spend a day at the beach: Pack a picnic and head to Dubai's beautiful public beaches like Jumeirah Public Beach or Kite Beach. Enjoy the sun, sand, and sea for free. Alternatively, consider heading towards The Walk and the neighbouring al fresco district, The Beach (in JBR). These neighbourhoods were designed to make the most of strolls.

Explore Old Dubai: Stroll through the historic Al Fahidi District (Bastakiya) and explore wind towers and art galleries. Entry to some smaller museums might have a nominal fee, but wandering the streets is free. That said, there are plenty of affordable trinkets too.

Abra ride on Dubai Creek: Enjoy a traditional abra ride across Dubai Creek! It is a fun and scenic way to see Bur Dubai and Deira. Pro tip: Head to the Abra station close to sunset; the ride offers majestic views.

Al Noor Island in Sharjah

Al Noor Island in Sharjah is a fascinating blend of art and nature in Sharjah’s Khalid Lagoon. Explore its serene gardens, admire the contemporary art installations, and step into the Butterfly House, home to over 500 butterfly species.

How much does it cost: Entry to the island costs Dh35 for adults and Dh20 for children (aged 3-12). Entry to the Butterfly House costs an additional Dh15 for adults and Dh10 for children.

Louvre Abu Dhabi

Louvre Abu Dhabi is a renowned art museum located on Saadiyat Island. It showcases a vast collection of historical, cultural, and sociological significance from ancient times to the contemporary era, fostering a spirit of openness between cultures.

How much does it cost: General admission tickets cost Dh65. Children under 18, UAE nationals and residents aged 60 and above can enter for free.

Al Ain Zoo

Al Ain Zoo, located at the foothills of Jebel Hafeet, is a sprawling 400-hectare park home to over 4,000 animals, including endangered species like the Arabian oryx. Enjoy walking through spacious enclosures resembling natural habitats, and don't miss the giraffe feeding experience and bird shows.

How much does it cost: Entry tickets start from Dh31.50 for adults and Dh10.50 for children (aged 3-12). Children under 3 and people of determination (plus one companion) enter for free. You can also purchase combination tickets for the safari experience.
