Ektettab expands operations in the UAE

Dubai : Kuwait's Ektettab Holding has announced an enhancement in its operations in the UAE with the launch of its Al Madina and Hits Telecom in the country.

"This initiative implies two major objectives, improving the Ektettab presence and the re-launch of its activities in the Dubai Financial market, while also celebrating the opening of its affiliates' offices in Dubai," Dr Ali Al Shamali, Vice-Chairman, Ektettab Holding told media here.

"We agree that the time may not be the best suited, but we believe in the proven track record of Dubai in rising above these challenges in the current economic slowdown scenario," he added.

The dual announcement was also attended by Ala'a Amer, Chief Investment Officer and Deputy CEO, Al Salam Group and Par Ericsson, CEO, Hits Group.

"At Al Salam Group, we believe that we have got past the economic crisis, and so we see that the biggest challenge before us at this moment is to fuel growth in all our subsidiaries. The crisis, in fact, has created opportunities for us to spread and hopefully we will be in a position to reach our target," Dr. Al Shamali said.
