A Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority senior management team recently headed to the East Coast to meet with the municipal council and assess opportunities for greater collaboration and promotion of the region.

The authority is working strategically to ensure greater dispersion of tourists across the emirate during their visit to ensure that all tourism is maximised and the benefits from this industry are spread outside the main city. The latest marketing strategy for 2017 from the authority is based on outdoor tourism and the East Coast plays an important part in this, Chairman Khalid Al Midfa said. He also discussed the impact of the investments in tourism that have been put in place.
