Sharjah Chamber added 6,000 new members in 2017

Dubai: According to Sharjah’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 6,000 new companies joined the chamber in 2017, increasing total membership to more than 69,000 firms.

The chamber said in a statement on Tuesday that this increase is a result of their continuous attempts to attract foreign investment and create a modern business environment.

In 2017, the total number of members increased by 6.8 per cent compared to 2016, reaching 69,108 members by the end of the year, with the exports and re-exports of the chamber’s members reaching Dh20 billion.
