Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, on Monday visited the head office of Dubai’s Land Department.

Shaikh Hamdan toured the offices and sections of the department, and was briefed by employees about the nature of their work and number of applications completed for customers during their working hours.

Shaikh Hamdan was then briefed by Sultan Bin Butti Bin Mejren, Director-General of Dubai’s Land Department, about the services offered by the department through 25 customer service centres across Dubai. Shaikh Hamdan inquired about the smart property registration system, which allows real estate offices approved by the department to register primary real estate procedures through the website when it’s past the department’s working hours.

Shaikh Hamdan then visited the rental dispute settlement centre, where he was informed by Judge Abdul Qader Mousa, chairman of the centre, about the mechanisms for settling disputes and how the smart system is used to provide important information about the disputing parties before moving on to various stages of litigation.

Shaikh Hamdan expressed his satisfaction with the developments achieved by the department. He indicated the leading role played by the Land Department in stimulating real estate investments in Dubai and bolstering the emirate’s position as the best investment destination in the region and around the world.
