Dubai: Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, head of Dubai’s Supreme Fiscal Committee and Chairman and chief executive of Emirates airline and group, opened Cityscape Global 2014 at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Sunday.
Shaikh Ahmad opened the show with a ribbon cutting ceremony before touring the exhibition spread across eight exhibition halls.
Organisers project 35,000 people, a mixture of exhibitors and visitors, to attend this year’s show, compared to just over 32,000 a year ago.
The three-day property and real estate exhibition has grown by over 25 per cent in exhibition space compared to last year, according to organisers, with the show covering two additional exhibition halls.
A total of 280 exhibitors from 28 different countries will show off their developments at the exhibition that ends on Tuesday September 23, according to organisers. Turkey has the largest international pavilion.
This year’s event runs alongside a series of conferences; the Global Real Estate Summit, Future Cities and the Real Estate Brokers Summit that are hosted at the exhibition centre.
