California governor paid all dues in full and on time, says spokesman
Sacramento : A celebrity website posted an IRS document (Internal Revenue Service, a tax claim form) showing that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger owes $79,000 (Dh290,128) in back taxes, but a spokesman for the governor said he indeed had paid all taxes.
The website TMZ.com posted a "notice of federal tax lien" filed in May with the Los Angeles County Recorder's Office. The document says Schwarzenegger owes $39,047 from 2004 and $40,016 from 2005.
Schwarzenegger's spokesman, Aaron McLear, said that the governor's taxes had been paid "in full and on time" and that he had not been notified of a problem. McLear said the document looked more like a penalty for missing information, not unpaid taxes.
