Dubai: UAE residents can now go cashless and pay using Salik’s payment platform across 36,000 on-street and off-street parking spaces that no longer makes use of tickets, barriers, or manual checks.

Salik Company PJSC, Dubai’s exclusive toll gate operator, and Parkonic, a UAE-based smart parking provider, have partnered with Dubai Holding to deploy the region’s first fully autonomous, AI-powered parking solution across key communities in the emirate.

The latest rollout aligns with Dubai’s Smart City 2030 strategy and Future Mobility Vision, aiming to improve urban mobility while reducing congestion and carbon emissions.

Customers using the new system will benefit from:

  • Instant, automatic billing via Salik’s infrastructure

  • No fines for overstays due to real-time monitoring

  • Multilingual interfaces for wider accessibility

  • Frictionless entry and exit without physical tickets or barriers

The project marks a step forward in Dubai’s push toward connected mobility infrastructure and future-readiness for autonomous vehicles.

Imad Alameddine, CEO of Parkonic, said the partnership “goes beyond parking” and lays the groundwork for AI-driven urban transport services. “Together with Salik and Dubai Holding, we're building a future where parking is seamless, intelligent, and user-centric,” he added.

The system has been developed and is operated entirely within the UAE. It is expected to directly support Dubai’s Net Zero goals, while streamlining the parking experience for residents and visitors alike.
