We review the latest gadgets on the market for you to pick and choose

Docking stations are trendy right now. But of the many different geometrical shapes and sizes, the most popular is the orb. Step forward, the JBL On Air.
What's in the box: power supply plugs, remote, owner's manual, FM antenna, iPod/iPhone adapter, and the docking station itself.
The JBL On Air adopts Apple's AirPlay technology that allows you to wirelessly control your entire music collection from your computer. You can also stream music from your iPod, iPhone or iPad, access iTunes' extensive online radio stations or use Apple's free remote application to control the docking station.
My friends were impressed when I took this little looker out of the box and paraded it around the living room, wondering where it would reside for the next few days. We chose to inaugurate the JBL with a little Dubstep and the little thing stepped up. The three transducers that feature JBL's 360º HALO acoustic blended perfectly and I have to admit, eyebrows were raised.
Competing against our resident surround sound system, JBL got points on clarity and aural opulence whereas the incumbent got points on, well, surround sound. However, in the little thing's defence, JBL did justice to all forms of music from Metallica to Mozart.
One feature geeks will love? It's the first docking station to sport a colour LCD screen that displays track information along with album artwork.
For a humble price of Dh1,499 this little system packs quite a punch.
