MAF appoints new CEO for properties unit

Bertrand Julien-Laferriere responsible for the growth of the company’s property portfolio

Dubai: Majid Al Futtaim (MAF), the operator of some of the region’s biggest shopping malls, said Tuesday that Bertrand Julien-Laferriere has been appointed as chief executive officer of MAF Properties.

Julien-Laferriere joined in February and is responsible for the overall growth of the company’s $10 billion property portfolio, in addition to the pipeline of development projects. The portfolio comprises 17 shopping malls , 11 hotels and three mixed-use communities in the Middle East and North Africa.
