Dubai: Hundreds of early-bird visitors at a mega mall in Dubai can get to shop for free or obtain a full refund of their bill on Tuesday as part of the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) campaign.
Highlighting the final week of the shopping bonanza, organisers said the first 1,000 shoppers who will buy anything from at least two stores in City Centre Deira on July 31 will get back what they have spent instantly.
All they need to do is pick out what they like – from shoes, bags, cosmetics to electronics and home appliances – and if their total spend at two shops reaches Dh200, they will get the same amount back.
So, if a shopper spends Dh80 at clothing store and spends another Dh120 at an electronics shop, he will get Dh200 back.
However, the catch is that no cash will be returned to the customer, with the refund to be given away only in the form of a mall gift card.
Shoppers also need to be mindful of what they take home or how much they spend, because the maximum refund will only be Dh200.
The "Shop for free Tuesday" is in partnership with the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment and shoppers are encouraged to show up at the mall early to earn the reward.
With each spender getting back at least Dh200, the latest DSS promotion will be giving away a total of Dh200,000 worth of reward vouchers.
