RAK port signs deal to increase capacity

DUBAI

Saqr Port Authority, which manages Saqr Port in Ras Al Khaimah, has signed a deal with German machinery manufacturer Liebherr Maritime for two Liebherr LHM 800 mobile harbour cranes, the company said in a statement on Monday.

The deal is intended to support Saqr Port Authority’s plans to establish new berths which will significantly increase the capacity of Saqr Port.

The additional capacity is required as the demand for import and export movements through the Port has consistently grown in recent years.
