Abu Dhabi: The Kuwait-based KGL Ports International has commenced the development of a full-fledged modern container terminal at the Mina Saqr Port in Ras Al Khaimah which will have a capacity of 300,000 TEUs on completion.

The terminal will be ready for full-fledged operation by January 2007.

The Kuwait and Gulf Link Transport Company (KGL) last year signed a $45 million deal with the Ras Al Khaimah Government to develop and manage the Mina Saqr Port Container Terminal for 21 years.
