Prices rise 0.6% in Abu Dhabi in November

Increase brings inflation in first 11 months of 2017 to 1.6%

Consumer prices in Abu Dhabi inched up 0.6 per cent in November 2017 compared to the same month in 2016, bringing inflation in the first 11 months of this year to 1.6 per cent.

According to the latest report from the Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi (Scad), the increase in prices in the first 11 months was mainly driven by an increase in the prices of housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels.

The next largest contributor to increased prices was transportation, where prices rose 3.9 per cent year-on-year.
